RCAP - Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc.
The Southeast RCAP helps small towns, communities, and individuals needing aid to help upgrade their water and wastewater systems. They provide training assistance to the rural residents to maintain and operate these systems. This funding is made available to low-income persons and communities in the form of grants and loans.
Southeast RCAP was created in the 60’s with the main office located in Roanoke, Virginia and they serve a seven state region. This region consists of the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. This program is responsible for bringing clean water and wastewater facilities to more than 450,000 residents in the seven states region that it services.
